We are a newly incorporated supported living provider in West London, currently preparing for CQC registration. We support adults with care and support needs to live independently and well within their own communities.
This is a ground-floor role. We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to help build the service from scratch — working alongside the director to secure CQC registration, shape how we deliver care, recruit and lead the team, and open our first supported living properties. If you've ever wanted to put your own stamp on a service rather than inherit someone else's, this is that job.
What you'll be doing
Leading the CQC registration process with the Nominated Individual — preparing policies, procedures and the Statement of Purpose
Registering as Manager with CQC and passing your fit person interview
Recruiting, inducting and managing a team of Senior Support Workers and Support Workers
Overseeing care delivery, risk management, safeguarding and quality assurance
Building relationships with Local Authority commissioners and NHS referrers to develop referrals
Ensuring compliance with the CQC Fundamental Standards, the Mental Capacity Act, and Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture
Chairing team meetings, supervisions and quarterly service reviews
Acting as the first point of contact for the people we support, their families, and regulators
About you
Registered Manager experience in supported living, domiciliary or residential care — or a strong deputy ready to step up
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (held or working towards)
Solid working knowledge of CQC standards, safeguarding and the Mental Capacity Act
Confident recruiting, developing and leading a team
Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a start-up — happy to build processes, not just follow them
Existing relationships with the Local Authority commissioners and social workers would be a real advantage, particularly across West London
What we offer
£42,000–£50,000 depending on experience
A genuine say in the service model, policies and culture from day one
Full support through CQC registration, with compliance guidance throughout
Full funding for your Level 5 Diploma if you don't already hold it
28 days' annual leave including bank holidays
Real progression as the company grows
Autonomy and ownership of your service — no micromanagement
