Overview
Due to expansion, we are seeking to hire a professional and reliable Class 1 Bulk Tipper Tramper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in commercial driving, particularly with bulk tipping operations of all types, namely quarry work and grains, and will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of bulk materials. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers with a steadfast work ethic and a desire to travel the whole length of the UK. Duties
- The job will require the successful applicant to work Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work, staying away 4 nights every week.
- Operate Class 1 lorries equipped with tipping mechanisms to transport bulk materials to designated sites.
- Ensure safe practice when loading and unloading materials in accordance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each shift, reporting any defects or issues promptly.
- Plan routes effectively and efficiently to meet delivery schedules while adhering to legal driving hours and road regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, including delivery notes and logs.
- Follow all health and safety protocols during operations, including compliance with environmental standards, TASCC accreditation standards and all site rules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery times or any unforeseen delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with at least 2 years experience.
- Valid MP connect card and MPQC site safety awareness qualification.
- Proven experience in Class 1 bulk tipper haulage.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for heavy vehicle operation.
- Experience in delivery driver roles, demonstrating punctuality and reliability.
- Ability to operate tipping mechanisms safely and efficiently.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to plan routes effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required.
Pay: £42,588.00-£51,000.00 per year
