Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Pump Assembly supervisor to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling high-quality pumps, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and meet strict quality standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and proficiency with various hand and power tools. The ideal applicant will have experience in assembly within a warehouse or manufacturing environment and possess excellent organisational skills to support efficient production processes and to supervise staff
Responsibilities
- Assemble pump components accurately according to technical specifications and diagrams
- Use hand tools and power tools to complete assembly tasks efficiently and safely
- Conduct quality checks throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and productivity
- Assist in troubleshooting / allocation of work
- Follow health and safety protocols at all times during assembly operations
- Support warehouse operations by managing inventory of parts and tools as needed
- Ladder logic experience an advantage
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in assembly processes
- Proficiency with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, and wrenches
- Experience using power tools safely and effectively in a manufacturing setting
- Previous warehouse experience and supervisory experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work methodically under pressure
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- Prior experience in pump assembly or related mechanical roles is advantageous
