Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding and other welding processes to join metal components with precision and consistency
- Fabricate parts by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during welding or fabrication processes
- Operate hand tools such as grinders, drills, and clamps to prepare materials for welding or assembly
- Measure materials accurately using basic math skills to ensure proper fit and alignment
- Maintain a clean, safe workspace by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling equipment
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding techniques with a strong understanding of welding standards
- Experience working with sheet metal, including cutting, bending, and forming processes
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for metalworking tasks
- Solid knowledge of welding safety practices and mechanical principles
- Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality checks
- Familiarity with assembly processes involving metal components
