Fletcher Moorland has been keeping industry running for over 80 years, providing specialist electromechanical repair and maintenance services to customers across the UK.
We're looking for a reliable, organised and hands-on individual to join our workshop team. This is an important role that helps keep our operations running efficiently by managing our yard, stores and dispatch areas and ensuring equipment moves smoothly between production and delivery.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring our rear storage area, yard and dispatch facilities remain safe, clean and organised while preparing customer equipment for delivery and supporting the workshop team.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in staying organised and is happy working both independently and as part of a team.
Your Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard and storage area
- Store completed jobs in the correct locations and update our business system
- Prepare, package and palletise equipment ready for dispatch
- Load and unload company vehicles and courier deliveries
- Carry out packaging and labelling checks
- Assist with scrapping and storage management
- Complete basic administration relating to job movements
- Work closely with workshop engineers and colleagues to ensure customer deadlines are achieved
- Follow all health and safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Shift Pattern
- 4 On, 4 Off - 10 or 11 hour shifts
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is organised and pays attention to detail
- Enjoys practical, physical work
- Has good communication skills
- Can work on their own initiative
- Has basic computer skills
- Is reliable, flexible and willing to support the wider team
- Understands the importance of health and safety
Skills/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in stores, warehousing, dispatch or logistics
- A forklift truck licence
