Role Purpose
To manage and maintain the organisation’s Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality systems across multiple company sites, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. The role supports continuous improvement, audit readiness, and operational compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety Management
· Ensure Health & Safety legislation compliance across company sites
· Conduct regular site inspections and safety checks
· Conduct, review, and maintain risk assessments
· Carry out and maintain COSHH assessments and records
· Investigate and manage non-conformances, ensuring proper documentation, corrective actions, and closure.
· Track and report on cost of poor quality
· Incident investigation and improvements
· Support a proactive safety culture through monitoring and improvements
Policies, Procedures & Systems
· Review and maintain the Business Management System (BMS)
· Develop and update existing policies and procedures to ensure compliance and relevance
· Maintain accurate documentation and version control
Environmental Management
· Manage greenhouse gas reporting and environmental logs
· Maintain environmental records in line with legal and company standards
Audits & Compliance
· Plan and conduct internal audits
· Support and manage external audits (e.g., ISO, Achilles).
· Handle customer audits and ensure readiness/compliance.
· Complete and manage customer compliance forms and portals
· Ensure all compliance data, evidence, and documentation are accurate and audit ready.
Supplier Management
· Complete and manage supplier questionnaires/forms
· Maintain supplier records within company systems
· Conduct and record supplier inductions
· Ensure suppliers meet company compliance standards
Skills & Experience
· Experience in Health, Safety, Environmental or Quality roles.
· NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum
· ISO Internal Auditor certification as a minimum
· Strong understanding of COSHH, risk assessments, ISO, and H&S legislation.
· Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
· Ability to manage multiple priorities across company sites
· Comfortable building relationships across all levels of the business
· Confident communicator who can challenge when required
