We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of food quality.
- Supervise and support kitchen staff, including chefs and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive team environment.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Assist in menu planning, development, and implementation of new dishes.
- Monitor inventory levels, place orders for supplies, and manage stock control efficiently.
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills and performance.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Support service staff during busy periods to ensure seamless customer experience.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen setting.
- Extensive food production knowledge with expertise in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead diverse teams.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.
