Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for enhancing and maintaining the aesthetic appeal of various interior and exterior surfaces. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction painting, possess excellent communication skills, and be capable of working independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings and specifications to achieve desired results.
- Ensure all work is completed within specified timeframes whilst maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the safe handling and disposal of materials.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting or related decorating roles.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Fluency in English with strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a collaborative team.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
