Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Backfiller. As a Backfiller, you will be responsible for assisting with the backfilling process at various utility sites. This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will have a company van.
Duties:
- Assist with the backfilling process.
- Ensure proper compaction of soil and materials
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective backfilling operations
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to project timelines and deadlines
Skills:
- Experience operating small tools, whacker, plate, rammer etc
- Knowledge of backfilling techniques and procedures an advantage, however training will be given.
- Ability to fill out risk assessments and site reports via an app on a mobile phone
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Must be able to drive and have a clean Licence
- Street works card
