Accounts Payable Clerk / Trainee / Junior
Location: Darwen, Lancashire
Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 DOE
Due to internal progression, WEC Group has an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk or a Trainee/Junior Accounts Payable Clerk looking to begin a career within a successful and growing manufacturing business.

The Role
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will provide administrative and financial support to the Finance team, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and payments are made on time. This is a key role that helps maintain strong supplier relationships and supports the smooth running of the business.

Key Responsibilities
- Match supplier invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve invoice and supplier queries.
- Prepare BACS payment runs.
- Reconcile supplier statements.
- Complete monthly intercompany recharges.
- File and archive invoices electronically.
- Maintain accurate supplier records.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance department.
What We're Looking For
- Previous Accounts Payable or finance administration experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including Maths and English.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent numerical and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- A positive, friendly and professional attitude.
- Ability to prioritise work and manage multiple tasks.
- Eagerness to learn and develop within a growing business.
