Transport Office Administrator – EXPERIENCE IS A MUST
Marshalls Logistics are looking for a transport administrator to join our team in Colchester. The transport administrator role is an important interface to our customers, our drivers, and our management team. The role will by a dynamic role encompassing work alongside the transport planners and our existing admin staff. The role is a rewarding role which will require the candidate being able to be responsive to the changing requirements that may arise on any given day. Adapting to different priorities at different times.
This is a full-time position; the hours of the role will be 0800-1700 each day with half an hour lunch break.
Transport Administrator Duties:
- Working closely with the other members of the transport & admin team to fully deliver upon customers, drivers, and our internal requirements.
- Dealing with customer via phone and email regarding queries and issues
- Data inputting into our TMS, MS Office and other industry specific systems.
- Provide timely, quality, and accurate management information, (Weekly/Monthly)
- Requesting and chasing for outstanding documentation, including suppliers, customers and drivers.
- Support with any other “ad hoc” administrative tasks
- Updating Internal and external portals
Transport Administrator Requirements:
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Excelling written and verbal communication skills with a customer-oriented approach
- Able to work under pressure
- Ideally experience working in a customer service/customer facing environment
- Experience working within a transport operation not essential, but desirable.
- Attention to detail, solid time management skills and a proactive, enthusiastic approach to their contribution to the team

Pay: £26,500.00-£32,500.00 per year
