East Barnet Village Dental Practice is looking to recruit a hardworking, reliable and enthusiastic person to work at our busy NHS/Private practice in Barnet. We are a friendly and well established practice in East Barnet and are looking for someone to join our growing team.
You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of dentists and hygienists/therapists and assist in helping our loyal and friendly patients.
The right candidate must be organised, with good communication skills, keen to learn, be of smart and professional appearance at all times and have a positive attitude.
The job role will include but not limited to the following:
· Attend to patients on the phone and in person.
· Co-ordinate and organize appointments and administration to facilitate the efficient running of the dental practice.
· Register new patients according to established office protocols.
· Assist patients to complete all necessary forms and documentation.
· Verify and update patient information.
· Inform patients of dental office procedures and policies as required.
· Move patients through appointments as scheduled.
· Enter all relevant patient information into the data system.
· Maintain and manage patient records in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
· Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional manner.
· Respond and comply to requests for information.
· Schedule patient appointments as requested by dentists.
· Confirm upcoming appointments and recalls according to practice protocol.
· Organize referrals to other medical specialists as requested.
· Dispatch lab work appropriately and ensure lab work required has been received in time for scheduled appointment.
· Collect and receive payments from patients at time of treatment.
· Have an understanding of practice payment plans and patient treatment options.
· Maintain a professional reception area.
· Safeguard patient privacy and confidentiality.
The job is for a full-time candidate and involves working Saturdays from 815 – 1230 on a rota basis. Ideally we require the candidate to offer a certain degree of flexibility in regards to days and times. This will be discussed with the successful candidate. Additionally, it is not essential that the candidate have any prior experience working within a dental practice but any previous relevant experience will be favorable.
