Job Title: Food Production Assistant
Location: Chefs Kitchen (JC Stewart Grocers), Magherafelt
Job Type: Full-Time Day Shift - Not Suitable for Students
About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Food Production Assistant to join our busy chefs kitchen. This role is key to supporting the preparation and packing of food orders for distribution across our multiple store locations throughout Mid Ulster. The successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure high-quality food production in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of food items according to company recipes and standards
- Accurately prepare and pack orders for delivery to multiple store locations
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety at all times
- Ensure all products are labelled, stored, and handled correctly
- Support stock rotation and monitor ingredient levels
- Keep workstations clean, organised, and compliant with hygiene regulations
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and deadlines
- Assist chefs and senior kitchen staff as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food production or kitchen environment is desirable but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of food hygiene standards
