Let's Arbitrate is a modern dispute resolution platform connecting parties with experienced legal professionals to resolve disputes through arbitration.
We are expanding our panel of Family Arbitrators and invite suitably qualified professionals to provide arbitration services through our platform.
The Opportunity:
This is a great chance for solicitors, barristers, or even retired legal professionals to become part of our digital arbitration platform. There’s no limit on how many cases you can handle!
Whether you choose to take on just one case in a month or you’re eager to take on six or more, it’s entirely up to you! The earning potential will not be capped in this position.
You will have the privilege to work from any location as long as you are able to conduct your duties (listed further down below) to a reasonable and expected professional standard. The position is fully remote.
Being a member of the Let's Arbitrate Family Arbitrator Panel, you will be offered arbitration appointments on a case-by-case basis. As a panel member, you will leverage your expertise to help families reach amicable agreements, ensuring a smoother resolution process that prioritises the well-being of all parties involved. Your dedication will help foster a more accessible and compassionate arbitration environment, making a meaningful difference in people's lives.
You remain an independent legal professional and are engaged solely to conduct arbitration proceedings and issue an impartial arbitral award.

Your Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive authorised to practise in England and Wales.
- Conduct independent family arbitration proceedings.
- Review case documentation and other submissions made by clients before hearings.
- Meet with the parties remotely as expected or appropriate.
- Ensure proceedings are conducted fairly, impartially and professionally.
- Produce a legally reasoned written arbitral award.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable legal and professional obligations.
- Experience in family law of a minimum of 3 years.
- Excellent legal drafting and communication skills.
- Ability to act independently and impartially.
- Must be able to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Desireable, being a memebr of IFLA (Institute of Family Law Arbitratiors)
Remuneration:
Panel members will receive a fixed professional fee of £1,700 for each completed arbitration. Payment will be made following completion of the arbitration and submission of the final arbitral award, in accordance with the Professional Services Agreement.
Nature of the Engagement:
Appointments are made under a Professional Services Agreement. Panel members are independent contractors and are not employees, workers or agents of Let's Arbitrate. Acceptance of appointments is entirely voluntary and based on the arbitrator's availability. After the case has been agreed upon by Let’s Arbitrate and the Panel’s Arbitrator, the Arbitrator must complete the case by the appropriate date provided.
There is no obligation to accept appointments offered, and Let's Arbitrate does not guarantee any minimum volume of work.
