Responsibilities
- Fabricate fire door components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques with precision and care
- Assemble door frames, panels, hinges, locks, and fire-resistant seals according to technical drawings and specifications
- Operate woodworking machinery such as saws, drills, sanders, and routers safely and efficiently
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with safety standards and project requirements
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and best practices in tool handling
- Assist with installation preparations, including heavy lifting and fitting of finished doors on-site when required
Experience
- Proven experience in fabrication, joinery, or carpentry within a manufacturing or construction setting
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery effectively
- Knowledge of fire door regulations, safety standards, and relevant building codes is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work physically demanding shifts comfortably
- Prior experience in the use of construction-related tools such as drills, saws, sanders, or routers is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control throughout the manufacturing process
