Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Fractional International Education Programme Delivery Director / Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and oversee the execution of complex Education international programs and initiatives.
This pivotal role requires a visionary leader with proven experience in managing large-scale projects across multiple regions, particularly in East Asia, ensuring seamless delivery, operational excellence, and strategic alignment. The successful candidate will act as a driving force behind program success, fostering collaboration among diverse teams, and implementing best practices to meet organisational goals. Duties
- Lead the planning, coordination, and delivery of international education programs, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, budget, and quality standards.
- Oversee cross-functional teams across different regions, providing leadership, guidance, and supervision to ensure high performance and accountability.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that optimise program efficiency and effectiveness on a global scale.
- Manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, including partners, clients, vendors, and internal teams, fostering strong communication and collaboration.
- Monitor program progress through KPIs and metrics; identify risks early and implement mitigation plans proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating processes, introducing innovative solutions, and promoting best practices in program delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive leadership regarding program status, challenges, and strategic adjustments.
What we are looking for
- Extensive experience with a proven track record of project mobilisation in the Education sector
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse groups towards common goals in fast-paced environments.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on strategic thinking, decision-making, and motivating teams to excel.
- Experience in managing complex international projects or programs from inception through completion.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with high adaptability to changing priorities and environments.
- Strong people, budget, risk and stakeholder management
- International/cross-border or public-sector experience highly desirable
- Able to challenge a founder constructively and then own execution
