Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced person r to oversee the daily operations of our bakery. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence, ensuring that our bakery produces high-quality baked goods while maintaining exceptional customer service. You will be responsible for supervising staff, managing food production, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations within a vibrant hospitality environment.
Duties
- Manage the bakery team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in all baked goods.
- Develop and implement training programmes for new staff members to enhance their skills in culinary techniques and customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for ingredients and supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections of the bakery area to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
- Collaborate with wholesale customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Assist in product planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative baking techniques to attract customers.
- Address customer inquiries and feedback promptly, fostering a welcoming atmosphere in the bakery.
- Further develop our ordering processes to ensure rapid invoicing and payment
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bakery or similar food production environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Background in culinary arts or hospitality management is preferred.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required by business needs.
- Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices.
- Passion for baking and creativity in developing new recipes or product offerings is highly desirable.
