Customer Service Champion– Night Shift
Overview
We are seeking a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Customer Service Advisor to join our team at Shell Haydock (WA12 0HL).
This is a permanent night-shift position within a busy 24/7 Shell retail environment. The usual shift hours will be from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
The role involves serving customers, operating the till, replenishing stock, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety, and helping ensure the safe and smooth running of the site throughout the night.
This position would suit someone who is dependable, comfortable working independently during night shifts and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
Duties
- Deliver excellent customer service throughout the night
- Greet customers warmly and assist with enquiries and purchases
- Operate tills and payment systems accurately
- Promote in-store promotions and other offers where appropriate
- Replenish stock and maintain shop-floor presentation
- Assist with deliveries, stock rotation and date checking
- Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and hygiene
- Ensure the shop, forecourt and customer areas remain safe, tidy and presentable
- Complete all required night-shift tasks accurately and on time
- Report any maintenance, safety or operational concerns promptly
- Follow all company procedures relating to health and safety, food safety and customer service
- Support the wider team to ensure a smooth handover to the morning shift
Qualifications
- Must be available to work regular night shifts, usually from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Friendly, professional and reliable approach
- Comfortable working independently during the night
- Ability to remain alert and organised throughout the shift
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good organisational and time-management skills
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Previous retail, customer service, night-shift or forecourt experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided
- Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays when required
