Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects within agreed timescales while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service.
This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive individual who can work independently as well as collaboratively with other trades and site teams. The position involves carrying out a variety of electrical and general construction-related tasks across domestic and commercial projects.
Duties
- Carry out electrical installation, maintenance, and remedial works to a high standard.
- Remove and reinstall sockets, switches, and electrical accessories.
- Install fans, associated ducting, heating controls, boilers, heat pumps, and associated cylinders.
- Assist with the installation of solar PV systems.
- Complete preliminary works, defect rectification, and final finishing tasks as required.
- Support other trades and site operatives to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring they are operated safely and kept in good working order.
- Report any equipment defects, malfunctions, or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Prepare and maintain clean, safe, and organised working environments, including debris removal and dust protection.
- Set up safety barriers and communicate effectively with clients and site personnel.
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment as required.
- Complete all relevant paperwork and certification relating to electrical installations.
- Carry out vehicle inspections and report any vehicle issues immediately to the Line Manager.
- Ensure company vehicles are kept clean and tidy at all times.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, company procedures, and project specifications.
- Undertake any additional duties necessary to support project delivery.
Skills
- Proven experience working as an Electrician or Multi-Skilled Electrician.
- Strong understanding of current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and safe working practices.
- Experience with heating controls, ventilation systems, boilers, heat pumps, or solar installations is desirable.
- Ability to use and maintain a wide range of tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
- Full UK driving licence required
Hours
37 1/2 PW (Monday to Friday)
Pay: £40,000.00 per year
