We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Class C Driver to join our delivery team.
This is a varied, hands-on role involving deliveringproductson a Class C Rigid Curtain sider to petrol station forecourts, garden centres and other wholesale outlets and delivering to domestic customers in 3.5t vehicle crane type vehicle bulk dumpy products. (All training except license will be provided)
Key responsibilities:
- Delivering adblue, screenwash, charcoal, firewood, kindling and 20kg bags of coal to wholesale customers and outlets.
- Making domestic deliveries of dumpy bags of logs and associated products.
- Handballing products safely & using a pallet truck/small crane safely.
- Operating a small crane safely (3.5t) for dumpy bag deliveries of firewood, aggregates and garden centre products.
- Carrying out appropriate vehicle and equipment checks.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a valid Class C (Class 2) HGV licence.
- Have good driving and delivery experience.
- Be physically fit and comfortable with regular manual handling.
- Be capable of working independently and as part of a team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied driving role rather than spending the whole week behind the wheel, with a mixture of trade, domestic and specialist deliveries.
Hours: Monday to Friday
Summer: 35 hours per week
Winter: 45-47.5 hours per week
Attractive Holiday Package: 32 Days Holiday as standard if taken in Spring/Summer only, increasing to 38 days after 5 years’ service. N.B Winter holidays are limited to an occasional day only.
