Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and personable Bartender/Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. This role involves providing exceptional service to our guests, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring all patrons enjoy a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. All roles are paid positions, including internships.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently from guests
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high levels of customer service
- Ensure the bar and dining area are clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any concerns or requests
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth service during shifts
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and potential allergens
- Uphold responsible alcohol service practices in line with legal requirements
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tables or bar orders simultaneously
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Effective time management to ensure prompt service during busy periods
- Ability to work well within a team and adapt to changing priorities
- Personal presentation that reflects professionalism and attentiveness
