Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for safely operating a Class 2 heavy goods vehicle, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries across designated routes. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) to deliver goods to various locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring items such as flatbed loads are secured properly for transportation
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns
- Plan efficient delivery routes, optimizing time and fuel consumption while maintaining punctuality
- Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery logs, inspection reports, and delivery confirmations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while representing the company during all interactions
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver, preferably with flatbed load handling experience
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles
- Strong driving skills with the ability to operate heavy vehicles confidently in various traffic conditions
- Excellent organizational skills for route planning and documentation management
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic
