Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Joinery Workshop Foreman to lead our woodworking and joinery operations with energy and precision. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all activities within the joinery workshop, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Lead a team of carpenters, joiners, and workshop staff, providing clear direction and support to meet project deadlines.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Oversee the use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery to ensure proper operation and maintenance.
- Plan workflow schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and clients to ensure timely delivery of custom joinery solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of materials used, work completed, and safety inspections; report any issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery fabrication, or a related construction trade with leadership responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, assembly processes, and the safe operation of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a busy workshop environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and external stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications or training in carpentry or joinery are highly desirable.
