Our Raynes Park practice is based in a leafy, community-spirited suburb, ideally positioned between the family-friendly energy of New Malden and the sporting heritage of Wimbledon.
We now have a rare opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join this friendly, well-established team.
About your new role:
Raynes Park has built a long-standing, trusted relationship with the local community, with many insured clients returning to the practice year after year.
Full-time position averaging 40 hours per week covering 1:4 branch Saturdays and 1:10 Sundays at Stone Lion Hospital.
You will be fully supported by an invaluable regional manager and a knowledgeable, established team who have worked in or alongside the practice for many years and would ideally suit someone who is a clinical supervisor or working towards becoming a clinical supervisor.
As a branch RVN some of your duties will include:
- Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care
- Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required
- Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records
- Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care
- Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients
- Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment
- Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use
- Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary
- Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training
- Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone
- Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor
Raynes Park is fully equipped to care for our clients with excellent on-site facilities, allowing for blood testing, x-rays and operations to be performed.
Regular train services from Raynes Park station reach London Waterloo in under 25 minutes. The area is also well-connected by road, providing swift access to the A3 for trips out of the city, and is only about a 20-minute drive from the M25.

RVN salary band is £32,000 to £36,000 depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
