The Overall Purpose of the Job
We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Finance Assistant to support our finance operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in contributing to the efficient and accurate running of the finance function.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Day to day activities to include but are not limited to:
· Perform day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero, including processing, coding and posting purchase and sales invoices
· Maintain accurate records of credit card transactions with appropriate supporting documentation
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
· Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to resolve queries
· Support general finance queries and assist with ad hoc reporting as required
· Any other duties as requested by management
Essential Knowledge and Capability Required
· Experience with Xero or similar accounting software
- 1–2 years’ experience in an accounts or finance role
· Strong organisational and multitasking skills
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· High attention to detail and accuracy
· To be proactive and able to meet deadlines.

For the right candidate, this role may be offered on a part-time, permanent basis. Working hours can be agreed at interview, with flexible working arrangements available.
Salary:
£14-16 an hour (dependent on experience), pro rata for part-time hours.
Pay: £14.00-£16.00 per hour
