Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Painter and Decorator to bring vibrant, professional finishes to a variety of interior and exterior spaces. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other decorative finishes with precision and care.
- Use a variety of tools such as brushes, rollers, sprayers, and scaffolding to achieve desired effects efficiently.
- Collaborate with clients or project managers to understand design specifications and project timelines.
- Maintain a clean workspace by properly disposing of waste materials and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Conduct inspections upon project completion to ensure quality standards are met and touch up as necessary.
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors.
- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and safety instructions clearly.
- Valid driving license with reliable transportation for traveling between job sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to painting and decorating activities.
- Strong attention to detail with an eye for color matching, finishing quality, and surface preparation.
- Basic proficiency in English for understanding instructions and documenting work progress.
