Bar Supervisor
Full-time | £13.50 per hour
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Bar Supervisor to support the Bar Manager at Scottish Embassy – a busy and established venue in Aberdeen city centre.
Scottish Embassy is a high-volume, drinks-only bar with live music every weekend and a strong late-night trade. This role is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their hospitality career, leading shifts, supporting the team, and ensuring excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Bar Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operation of the venue and take responsibility for running shifts in their absence.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll lead from the front, support and motivate the team, and ensure every customer receives a great experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Bar Manager with the day-to-day running of the venue
- Lead shifts and supervise the team during busy trading periods
- Deliver fast, friendly, high-quality service
- Coach, train and motivate bar staff
- Ensure excellent customer service and resolve issues professionally
- Assist with stock control & ordering
- Help manage rotas
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health & safety and company procedures
- Support live music nights and busy weekend operations
- Assist with cashing up, opening and closing procedures, and general administration
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a Bar Supervisor or experienced Senior Bartender
- Experience in a busy, late-night or wet-led venue (essential)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Confident leading shifts and motivating a team
- Good understanding of stock control and cash handling
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
- A positive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- Personal Licence preferred but not essential
