We’re looking for Kitchen Porters to join us at Auchen Castle, supporting our chefs and helping keep the kitchen clean, safe and organised so every service runs smoothly. Pay is dependent on age and will meet the applicable National Minimum Wage.
About This Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play an essential part in the kitchen team. You’ll wash cookware, crockery and utensils; keep wash-up and kitchen areas clean and tidy; and make sure equipment is ready when colleagues need it.
You’ll help manage waste and recycling, receive and put away deliveries safely, replenish supplies and complete routine cleaning tasks to the required standard. Once trained, you may also support simple food preparation and service set-up.
You’ll work closely with chefs and front-of-house colleagues, following food hygiene, allergen, COSHH and health and safety procedures at all times. If you’re reliable, practical and happy working at pace as part of a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
Discover Life at Auchen Castle
Hidden in the Moffat hills, in the heart of Robert Burns country, Auchen Castle is a restored Scottish fairytale castle set within 34 acres of private grounds. With 26 individually styled en-suite bedrooms, it welcomes wedding parties, private celebrations and special stays.
No two services at Auchen are quite the same. You’ll join a supportive hospitality team and help maintain the high standards behind every wedding, celebration and castle stay.
