Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Nursery Manager to lead our nursery team and ensure the highest standards of care and education for our children. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for nurturing young minds. This role involves managing daily operations, fostering a safe and stimulating environment, and effectively communicating with parents and staff. The ideal candidate should have minimum level3 in early years and 2 years in managing nursery setting
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and best practices in childcare.
- Lead, mentor, and support nursery staff to promote professional development and enhance team performance.
- Develop and implement engaging educational programmes that cater to the developmental needs of children.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress, concerns, and nursery activities.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children, staff, and visitors.
- Manage budgets and resources efficiently to support the nursery’s objectives.
- Drive initiatives that promote inclusivity and diversity within the nursery setting.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and adapt programmes accordingly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a nursery or childcare setting, with a strong understanding of early childhood education principles.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and staff confidently.
- A passion for working with children and fostering their growth in a nurturing environment.
- Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided at the nursery.
- Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare are highly desirable.
- Experience working directly with children in various age groups is an advantage.
