About the Role
As a Support Worker, Healthcare Assistant or Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping individuals to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life.
Depending on the placement and individual needs, your responsibilities may include:
- Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, bathing and toileting
- Supporting mobility, transfers and safe moving and handling
- Assisting with meals, nutrition and hydration
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Supporting individuals to maintain their independence and make their own choices
- Supporting medication administration or prompting, where appropriately trained and authorised
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting changes or concerns
- Completing accurate daily care records and electronic care notes
- Following individual care plans and risk assessments
- Working alongside families, nurses, healthcare professionals and other members of the care team
- Following safeguarding, infection prevention and confidentiality procedures

New to Care? We Still Want to Hear From You
You don't necessarily need previous care experience to make a difference.
We may consider applicants who are new to care but can demonstrate compassion, reliability, a willingness to learn and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
Full induction and relevant training will be provided.
Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Care Assistant, Support Worker, or within domiciliary care, residential care, NHS/healthcare, complex care or mental health support would be advantageous.
Essential Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have the right to work in the UK
- Have good communication skills
- Be able and willing to complete mandatory training
- Be able to work flexibly according to service requirements
- Be committed to safeguarding and person-centred care
- Provide satisfactory employment/personal references
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check where required
- Be able to safely undertake the physical requirements of the role
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required for some community-based positions.
