Part-Time Dental Receptionist – 3 Month Temporary Contract
The Forum Dental Studio, Gainsborough & Scunthorpe Orthodontics, Scunthorpe
We're looking for a part-time receptionist to join us on a temporary three-month contract, working across our two sites: The Forum Dental Studio (in Gainsborough) and Scunthorpe Orthodontics (in Scunthorpe town centre).
Hours
The shifts fall within:
- Tuesday: 08:45–17:15
- Wednesday: 08:45–18:45
- Thursday: 08:45–18:45
- Friday: 08:45–13:15
You'll be guaranteed at least three full days a week, with four days some weeks. Which site you're working from (Gainsborough or Scunthorpe) will vary week to week, so you'll need to be able to travel to both.
About the role
Our receptionists are the first point of contact for patients, so this is a highly important, patient-facing role. Key duties include:
- Answering and making calls to patients and other practices
- Taking payments in person and over the phone
- Checking patients in and out
- Greeting patients
- Managing appointments
- End-of-day banking
Essential requirements
- 2+ years' experience in a face-to-face sales or customer service role
- Strong computer skills (assessed at second interview)
- Able to travel daily to both Gainsborough and Scunthorpe
Desirable (not essential)
- Full driving licence
- Experience in a busy reception environment
- Experience working in a dental practice
Training
There will be a training period alongside a current member of staff in both the practice computer software and in the role generally.
