Overview
Proven experience in food business development is a must.
This is a full-time role in London for someone who is energised by building things from scratch. There is no existing pipeline or playbook — you will create them. You will be responsible for securing our first trading pitches and event bookings, establishing key commercial relationships, and defining the business development strategy for the business. Proven experience in food business development, ideally within QSR, fast food, street food, food-to-go is necessary, as well as experience working with franchising or franchise-based business models.
Key Responsibilities
Launch & Commercial Setup
- Identify and secure our first trading locations, market pitches, and event slots across London
- Research the London street food and events landscape to map priority opportunities and channels
- Build the initial business development strategy, pipeline structure, and outreach process
Partnerships & Relationships
- Establish early relationships with local councils, market operators, business parks, and corporate clients
- Represent the brand to raise our profile
- Explore partnership opportunities including concessions, pop-ups, and corporate catering contracts
Brand Building
- Develop early promotional campaigns and introductory packages to attract first clients
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify gaps and positioning opportunities
Reporting & Strategy
- Define and track early-stage KPIs including pitches secured, enquiries generated, and revenue milestones
- Develop business development plan to guide the commercial launch and first year of trading
About You
- Proven hands-on experience in food business development, ideally within QSR, fast food, street food, food-to-go
- Demonstrable success in launching real food business projects
- Ideally experience working with franchising or franchise-based business models
- Comfortable working in an early-stage company environment
- A builder mindset
- Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to open doors and close deals independently
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills — comfortable presenting at all levels
Salary to be dicussed directly on the interview based on the candidates experiene.
Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
