Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Till Staff to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently processing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organised workspace. Previous experience in food service or retail is advantageous, but full training will be provided. This role offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Responsibilities
- Operate the till system accurately and efficiently during transactions
- Handle cash, card payments, and other payment methods with precision
- Assist customers with their purchases, questions, and enquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the till area and surrounding workspace
- Upsell additional products or promotions to maximise sales opportunities
- Follow food safety standards when handling food-related items or samples
- Support with basic food preparation tasks if required
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise queues and wait times
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, serving, or retail is desirable but not essential as training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety procedures and basic maths skills are advantageous
- Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment can be beneficial
- Strong organisational skills with good time management abilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining excellent customer service standards
- A friendly attitude with excellent communication skills and the ability to upsell products effectively

Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
