Job Summary
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing their own cooking station, preparing and cooking food to company standards, and ensuring their section is clean, organised, and fully prepared for service.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and operate your assigned cooking station.
- Prepare and cook food according to company recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure your station is fully stocked and ready before each service.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures.
- Keep your work area clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
- Store food correctly and rotate stock using FIFO principles.
- Report any equipment faults or stock shortages to the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager.
- Work efficiently with the kitchen team during service.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties requested by management.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
- Good knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene Certificate (preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen.
- Reliable, organised, and able to work as part of a team.
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
