Coastline Galicia is a small independent fishmonger based in St John’s Wood, London, which is where we start and finish each day. We operate 5 days per week through Tuesday - Saturday.
This role is available as a part-time job (working 25 hours a week) from 08:00 to 13:00 through Tuesday to Saturday.
We pride ourselves on providing the best fish and customer service available. We are looking for an experienced Fishmonger to join our small friendly team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Fishmonger who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working with exceptional produce and thrives in a busy, customer-focused environment.
Essential Skills needed:
- At least two years’ professional fishmonger experience
- Skilled Filleter and all-rounder when it comes to fish.
- Must live in UK and have the right to work in the UK.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Basic Maths skills.
- Customer service experience.
Main Duties:
- Preparing, cleaning, portioning and filleting a wide range of fish and seafood
- Serving customers and helping them choose the right products for their needs
- Offering knowledgeable advice on preparation, cooking methods and flavour combinations
- Creating attractive, well-stocked counter displays
- Monitoring stock levels, freshness and product rotation
- Supporting ordering and helping to minimise waste
- Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards
