Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised site manager to oversee a 21-unit residential construction project from start to finish. Responsible for managing day-to-day site operations, ensuring all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership and an understanding of residential construction regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
- Supervise and direct subcontractors, tradespeople, and labourers.
- Ensure the project is delivered in accordance with the drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations and conduct regular site inspections.
- Monitor construction schedules and report progress against key milestones.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any delivery issues.
- Identify and resolve problems or delays that affect the project timeline or quality.
- Conduct toolbox talks and ensure risk assessments and method statements are followed.
- Maintain site records, including daily diaries and progress reports.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Foreman in residential construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards.
- Basic IT skills are a must
Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 4 or 6 in Construction Site Management or equivalent.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
- First Aid at Work.
- Full UK driving licence.
Pay: £50,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
