About Us
Sundown Products is a family-owned business manufacturing high-quality animal feed and bedding products from straw. We operate a continuous production environment and are looking for a reliable Production Operator / Machine Operator to join our team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role within a busy production environment. The main responsibility of the successful candidate will be operating production machinery safely and efficiently. The role will also include supporting yard operations and carrying out general site duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating production machinery safely and efficiently
- Monitoring machinery performance and reporting any faults
- Carrying out routine production tasks to meet operational targets
- Loading and unloading vehicles using FLT
- Supporting yard duties and general housekeeping
- Maintaining site standards and following health and safety procedures
- Assisting with other production-related tasks as required
Working Hours
You will work a Panama shift pattern, consisting of rotating 12-hour day and night shifts, averaging 42 hours per week.
Requirements
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Experience operating machinery in a production or manufacturing environment
- Ability to work rotating day and night 12-hour shifts
- Good awareness of health and safety in the workplace
Desirable:
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, or yard environment
- Good level of physical fitness for manual handling duties
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Valid Telehandler licence
