Plumber / Mechanical Operative

About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and experienced Plumber to join our established maintenance and small works team. The role involves working across a range of commercial and residential properties, delivering high-quality plumbing works, repairs, and installations.
You’ll be working as part of a supportive team, with clear workloads, realistic timescales, and a strong focus on doing the job properly.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Fault-finding on domestic and commercial plumbing systems
- Installation and repair of pipework, sanitaryware, and water services
- Working on planned and reactive maintenance tasks
- Completing work safely and in line with current regulations
- Accurately recording works completed and materials used
- Liaising professionally with clients, site managers, and colleagues
What We’re Looking For
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in plumbing maintenance and installation work
- Knowledge of current plumbing regulations and standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience working on commercial or MOD / secure sites
- Unvented hot water qualification
- Basic heating knowledge
- CSCS card
