Salary: Circa £40,000 per annum
We are looking for an experienced Family Law Solicitor who was worked predominantly on legal aid cases. We are looking to progress this individual to a Supervising Solicitor, therefore they must meet the criteria on section 2 and 3 of the ‘Supervisor Standard and Self Declaration form’.
Essential Skill and Qualifications
- Qualified solicitor, with recognised accreditation in England and Wales
- Prior experience working with legal aided cases and CCMS
- Detailed, organised, able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Team player that is willing to help other team members
- Confident in using IT and different software
- Excellent drafting, communication, and client care skills
- Ambitious - willing to apply for Supervising Accreditation
The Role
- Provide high-quality client care to vulnerable individuals and families.
- Manage a caseload of family law matters including non-molestation orders, Child Arrangements Orders, divorce, and children law cases from inception to completion.
- Prepare legal documents such as court applications, witness statements, bundles and briefs for counsel.
- Efficiently manage files using our case management system, Leap.
- Attending client meetings, court hearings and conferences as required
- Advise clients in relation to their legal issues and progress cases with courts and professionals.
- Navigate legal aid applications via CCMS and ensure compliance.
- Conducting legal research to stay updated on relevant legislation and case law.
- The roles and responsibilities are not exhaustive and reasonable changes may be made depending on business requirements.
