Home Care Assistant - Domiciliary Care

About the Role
At Smeaton Healthcare, we are passionate about helping people remain safe, independent and comfortable in their own homes. As a Home Care Assistant within our Short Visits Team, you will provide high-quality, person-centred care to customers living within the community.
This is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will travel between customers' homes, supporting them with everyday tasks while promoting dignity, choice and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
- Assist customers with medication in line with training and company policies.
- Prepare meals and support with nutrition and hydration.
- Support customers with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Complete light domestic duties where required.
- Provided companionship and emotional support.
- Accurately record all care provided using our digital care management system.
- Report any safeguarding concerns, health changes or incidents promptly.
- Work in accordance with CQC regulations, company policies, and best practice.
- Maintain effective communication with customers, families and colleagues.
- Travel independently between customer visits throughout your allocated area.

Essential Requirements:
- Full UK Driving License
- Access to your own vehicle suitable for community care work and insured for business use.
- Right to Work in the UK
- Willingness to undertake mandatory training
- Successful completion of an Enhanced DBS Check

Where applicable, this includes the requirement for candidates switching from certain immigration routes to have been legally employed by Smeaton Healthcare as a care worker for at least 3 months before a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) can be assigned.
