Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Breakfast Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Duties
- Prepare and cook a range of breakfast items, including eggs, pancakes, pastries, and other specialised dishes
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and suggest new breakfast offerings based on seasonal ingredients and guest preferences
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management for replenishment
- Serve dishes promptly and courteously to guests or assist in serving when required
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Experience
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Previous experience in meal preparation, particularly breakfast dishes, is highly desirable
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and culinary techniques relevant to breakfast service
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail
