Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, preparing and serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience is preferred, along with good time management and basic maths skills. The successful applicant will contribute to maintaining high standards of service and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards
- Greet guests warmly and take drink orders accurately
- Ensure all drinks are served promptly and correctly, maintaining quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area at all times
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately using the POS system
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth service throughout shifts
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service
- Manage multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent serving skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy hours
- Basic maths skills for handling payments and calculating bills accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a lively environment
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
