Lead the client experience across Elizavet
Elizavet is looking for an experienced, confident and compassionate Head of Front of House to lead our reception function across two branches.
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys managing people, improving day-to-day operations and creating an exceptional experience for clients and their pets.
You will manage a reception team of approximately four employees, overseeing daily activities and ensuring that reception and administrative tasks run smoothly and consistently across both locations.
At Elizavet, we believe outstanding veterinary care begins with an outstanding welcome. Our reception team plays a vital role in reassuring clients, coordinating appointments and ensuring that every interaction is handled with empathy, professionalism and care.
The opportunity
As Head of Front of House, you will take ownership of the day-to-day reception and administrative operations across both Elizavet branches.
You will provide clear leadership and support to the reception team, organise workloads and ensure that both locations maintain consistently high standards of client service, communication and administration.
This is more than a reception management role. You will have the opportunity to shape how the front-of-house function operates, improve systems and processes and build a positive, accountable and supportive team culture.
Your key responsibilities
You will:
- Lead, manage and develop a reception team of approximately four employees.
- Oversee reception operations across two branches.
- Coordinate daily activities, workloads and priorities across both locations.
- Ensure reception and administrative tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
- Create and manage reception rotas, including arranging appropriate cover for holidays and absence.
- Maintain consistently high standards of client service across both branches.
- Support the team with complex, sensitive or escalated client conversations.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching, feedback and one-to-one support.
- Ensure appointments, enquiries, payments and client records are managed effectively.
- Develop and maintain clear reception procedures and administrative processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, communication and the overall client experience.
- Work closely with veterinary surgeons, nurses and management colleagues to support the smooth running of the practice.
- Ensure information is communicated clearly between branches and across clinical and non-clinical teams.
- Lead by example, remaining visible, approachable and willing to support the team during busy periods.
About you
You will be an experienced front-of-house, reception or client service leader who combines strong organisational skills with warmth, empathy and professionalism.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience managing a reception, front-of-house or customer service team.
- Experience coordinating people or operations across more than one location.
- A proven ability to organise workloads, delegate tasks and manage competing priorities.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a small team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence handling challenging or emotionally sensitive conversations.
- Strong attention to detail and high administrative standards.
- A calm, practical and solutions-focused approach.
- The confidence to introduce improvements and maintain clear processes.
- A genuine commitment to delivering thoughtful and personal client service.
- An interest in animal welfare and an understanding of the bond between pets and their owners.
Experience in a veterinary, healthcare, dental or similarly caring professional environment would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are particularly interested in your leadership ability, operational judgement and approach to people.
