About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive field manager to lead and manage our field operations team. This is a key operational role, responsible for ensuring contractual compliance, service delivery excellence, and the effective management and development of field operatives.
You will play a critical role in day-to-day operational control, people management, health & safety compliance, and client liaison, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Manage Field Operatives on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure operations are delivered in line with client contracts and agreed SLAs
- Track daily field jobs using Field Calls, emails, and Salesforce dashboards
- Plan and track operational bookings, ensuring clear and detailed instructions are issued to field operatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date whiteboards reflecting bookings and field activity
- Act as on-site controller for major incidents when required
- Attend escalated jobs and complaints as necessary
- Be part of the Duty Manager Rota - this will include 1 night per week and approximately 1 weekend in 6
People Management & HR
- Approve weekly timesheets via Salesforce, including overtime, annual leave, and sickness
- Approve annual leave requests while maintaining operational efficiency
- Conduct employee investigations, disciplinary meetings, performance and development meetings, and employee reviews
- Mentor field operatives and provide ongoing coaching and support
- Deliver and plan toolbox talks covering health & safety, operational improvements, tools, and equipment
- Maintain training records and ensure all mandatory and role-specific training remains in date
Health & Safety & Compliance
- Conduct in-person site audits
- Manage Health & Safety KPI dashboards for field operatives
- Ensure compliance with company accreditations and health & safety requirements
- Oversee tools and equipment management, including checks, servicing, calibration, and cost control
Commercial & Client Engagement
- Build and maintain professional working relationships with clients alongside the supporting manager
- Attend client meetings and conference calls as required
- Understand client expectations, contracts, SLAs, and pricing framework agreements
- Identify and escalate new business or operational improvement opportunities to senior management and the Head of Business Development
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in a field-based supervisory or operational management role
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Experience managing operational performance against SLAs
- Confident handling HR processes including performance management and disciplinary matters
- Good working knowledge of health & safety requirements in a field environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- IT confident, with experience using operational systems and dashboards (Salesforce experience desirable)
What We Offer
- Competitive salary (£35,360 – £37,570 DOE)
- Additional Duty Manager responsibility allowance (~£3,000 per year)
- Quarterly performance-related bonus
- 20 days annual leave, increasing by 1 day per year upto a maximum of 25 days
