Overview
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician specialising in the water sector to join our team. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems within water treatment facilities and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, practical experience with hand and power tools, and a keen eye for safety and precision. Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in water treatment plants and associated facilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults using specialised tools and techniques to ensure minimal downtime.
- Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and multimeters for precise work on electrical circuits.
- Operate power tools including drills, saws, and grinders safely and effectively during installation or repair tasks.
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections accurately for compliance purposes.
- Collaborate with other technical staff to ensure all electrical installations meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the planning and execution of upgrades or new installations within water treatment facilities.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working as an electrician within industrial or water sector environments.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in electrical applications.
- Demonstrable electrical experience with a solid understanding of circuits, wiring diagrams, and safety protocols.
- Relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds or NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent recognised certification.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
