About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organised and detail focused Livestock Administrator to join our Lairage team at Pickstock. This is a key role supporting the smooth intake and processing of livestock, ensuring all documentation, compliance, and communication is handled accurately and efficiently.
You’ll work closely with suppliers, hauliers, and internal teams, helping to maintain high welfare standards while delivering excellent service and supporting our growing business.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Accurately booking in livestock and processing all associated documentation
- Checking livestock passports and ensuring full traceability compliance
- Coordinating livestock flow in line with production requirements
- Liaising with suppliers and hauliers via phone and face-to-face
- Resolving queries quickly and professionally
- Supporting invoicing and payment processes
- Assisting the Lairage Manager with daily administrative tasks
- Maintaining high welfare standards and adhering to all legislation
What We’re Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
- Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and systems)
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
- Team player with a proactive and positive approach
- The ability to effectively manage day to day operations while constructively challenging established ways of working with a positive mindset.
- Agricultural background/knowledge desirable but not essential
- Full training will be provided for the right candidate
