Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated HGV 1 / Arable Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy goods vehicles, assisting with arable farming activities, and maintaining the overall productivity of the farm. Duties
- Operating HGV 1 lorries for transportation of crops, equipment, and supplies around the farm and to external locations
- Assisting with irrigation systems installation, maintenance, and repair to ensure optimal water management
- Performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm machinery and equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Supporting crop cultivation activities such as planting, fertilising, and harvesting in accordance with seasonal schedules.
- Utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and carry out repairs or maintenance tasks
- Managing heavy lifting tasks safely during the movement of materials or machinery parts
- Applying basic maths skills for inventory management, measurement tasks, and record keeping
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety across all farm activities
Skills
