Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring precision, durability, and aesthetic appeal. Duties
- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications.
- Fabricate custom joinery components such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture with precision.
- Install wooden structures and fixtures on-site, including framing, roofing supports, and interior fittings.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to move materials and completed components into position.
- Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing setups, electrical installations, or roofing tasks as needed to support project completion.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the fabrication and installation process to ensure adherence to safety standards and design specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all health and safety protocols during construction activities.
Experience
- Proven experience in carpentry or joinery within the construction industry.
- Skilled in fabrication, assembly, and installation of wooden structures using hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, and measuring devices.
- Familiarity with power tools including drills, saws, sanders, and nail guns.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry basics, plumbing setups, electrical experience or related trades is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods during material handling.
- Strong understanding of construction painting standards and finishing techniques is advantageous.
- Previous experience working on residential or commercial sites with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
