Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Insulation Technician (Lagger) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems across a variety of projects. Most work will be located within a 60-mile radius of Hull, offering opportunities across a variety of industrial and commercial projects. PAYE Temp to Perm can be discussed for the right candidates.
Duties
- Measure and cut insulation materials accurately to fit designated spaces
- Install insulation in walls, ceilings, floors, and other structural components using appropriate tools and techniques
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Read and interpret technical drawings to ensure precise installation
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to adhere to safety standards
- Conduct inspections of completed insulation work to verify quality and compliance with specifications
Requirements
- Proven experience or training in Thermal Insulation is highly desirable
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in insulation installation and general construction tasks
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to construction sites and working at heights or in confined spaces
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Physical fitness to perform manual labour including lifting, bending, and working in various environmental conditions
- Valid UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential
- CSCS or TICA qualifications
