Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our children's care facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and leading a team of care staff. This role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and a compassionate approach to supporting children and young people in a residential setting. Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management and supervising experience, with a focus on safeguarding and personalised care plans.
Duties
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
- Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Supervise and support care staff, fostering a positive team environment through effective leadership and supervision.
- Ensure all staff are trained in relevant areas such as dementia care, Alzheimer's care, medication administration, and other specialised needs.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and organisational policies related to children's residential care.
- Oversee the administration of medication and ensure accurate record-keeping in line with legal standards.
- Foster strong relationships with children, families, social workers, and external agencies to promote holistic support.
- Organise staff rotas, manage budgets, and oversee the overall operational efficiency of the home.
- Monitor quality standards through audits and feedback mechanisms to continually improve service delivery.
Experience
- Proven management or supervisory experience within a care home or similar setting specialising in senior or dementia care.
- Extensive knowledge of assisted living, nursing home practices, or home care services.
- Experience in developing and implementing personalised care plans for vulnerable individuals.
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures and safeguarding protocols.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of care professionals.
- Previous experience working with children or young people in residential or community settings is advantageous but not essential.
